2017 Wales Year of Legends!
2017 is the Year of Legends in Wales. Launching on the 1st March - St. David's Day will be our special 'legends' adventures, exploring the legendary views, landscapes, stories and experiences of Brecon Beacons National Park, The Elan Valley, Wales Coast Path, Cambrian Mountains and more stunning, secret spots across Wales.
From mountains to waterfalls and taking every opportunity to fit in something extra, like the spectacle of Red Kite feeding in Mid Wales, where 100's of birds come for dinner, these events will be inspire and challenge you, whether with old friends or while making new ones.
Brecon Beacons Legends Weekend: 5th - 7th May
Explore the legendary landscape and views of the Brecon Beacons National Park. A weekend exploring the legendary landscape and views of the Brecon Beacons National Park on two legs and four. Stay in our favourite Brecon Beacons bunkhouse and enjoy the ease of breakfast and refreshments being available, as well as a great choice of evening meals to explore in the area.
Follow the ancient ways on two legs exploring the best, quiet ridge trails to the highest peaks. Then hop on board for a trek into the valleys and wild areas that only these trusty trekking ponies can go.
A memorable weekend, certainly for your legs!
Elan Valley Escapes: 2nd - 4th June
The stunning Elan Valley, sometimes referred to as the Welsh Lake District. Explore the reservoirs from above and below and discover stunning views from our secret routes.
Captivating Cambrian Mountains: 11th - 13th August
Experience the best of Mid Wales, the quiet and captivating Cambrian Mountains, waterfalls, stunning valleys, sea views, red kite feeding, giant chairs, ridgetop trails, hidden valleys, dramatic coastal sunsets and much more. Peace and tranquility well away from the crowds, with the added bonus of being in a dark skies area at the time of the Perseid Meteor Shower.
Wales Coastal Path: 16th & 17th September
Legends of the stunning coastline of the Vale of Glamorgan, just 20 minutes from Cardiff. Amazing cliffs, beaches with adventurous access, lighthouses, castles and more. With over 800 miles of the Wales Coastal Path to choose from, this was a tough one. There is something special about this section and if you are brave, you can enter one of the coves via a long ladder!
