Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions
Expeditions Wales provides Expedition Opportunities, training, practice and assessment at all
levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for Schools, groups, organisations and individuals.
We have a strong track record in providing young people of all backgrounds with a thorough insight into exploring and enjoying the outdoors, using the inspiration of our years of experience and enthusiasm to instil confidence, belief and skills into everyone we work with.
Our belief is that the Outdoors is there to enjoyed safely and responsibly by all, we encourage and demonstrate safe practices, considered decision making, but above all, ensure that it is not our expedition, but one that belongs entirely to those taking part in it.
We offer Expeditions in a range of areas, from Gold terrain in the Wild Country of Mid Wales and Snowdonia, through to localised expeditions for Bronze groups, or Silver expeditions in low level wild country, the South Downs, Lake Vyrnwy and Llangollen areas.
During 2011 we supervised well over 100 expedition groups, with our Open Gold & Open Silver expedition courses proving particularly popular with individual participants from all over the country, with many recommending us to other parents, participants and leaders.
For 2012 we have added a Bronze Expedition package, new expedition areas to provide added flexibility, whilst still offering a range of Open Gold Expedition courses on convenient and popular dates.
