frequently asked questions

If I book with friends, will we be together in the same group?
Yes!

Simply let us know on your booking form that you are booking with friends (please include their names) or pop us an email after you have booked to give us all the details. It’s really easy.

I don't have a group, can I join you on my own?
Yes!

We welcome individuals to join our ‘open’ expeditions where you will find others who are also joining us as individuals. It is a great way to make friends and share an exciting journey.

We have specialised in running ‘open’ expeditions since 2009 and have helped over 1000 individuals complete their expedition journeys in an friendly and welcoming environment.

Can I join you for just a practice or an assessed expedition?
Yes!

We can help you with a practice expedition or an assessed (qualifying) expedition or even both depending on your requirements. If booking one expedition simply let us know on your booking form whether you will be joining us for practice or assessed or pop us an email – it’s really easy.

If you are joining us for an assessed expedition and you have completed your practice expedition with your school or another organisation we will require evidence from you regarding your practice expedition and this is also really easy to do.

How do I get to & from the expeditions?

The nearest train station for our Mid-Wales (Llanidloes) expeditions is Caersws.

Provided we are given plenty of notice we can arrange a shuttle to collect/drop off at the station. We will ask for your travel plans in advance.

There is no shuttle service for the Brecon Beacons expedition(s)

For Mid-Wales and Brecon Beacons expeditions participants can be dropped off and picked up by car.                                       (For Brecon Beacons West in May there is a public bus that drops off right at the entrance – details of this will be provided for this specific expedition)
